Ben Faw spent his entire career building things in hard environments — first in uniform, then in business

Ben Faw graduated from West Point in 2007 with a degree in Economics, earning the Superintendent’s Award and the Command Sergeant Major Morris Award for leadership excellence. A graduate of Ranger and Airborne School, he served as an Infantry Platoon Leader in Northern Iraq from 2008 to 2009. 

After earning his MBA from Harvard Business School in 2014, he co-founded BestReviews, which sold to Tribune Publishing in 2018 and subsequently to Nexstar (NXST) in 2020. He subsequently founded AdVon Commerce, which sold to Ascential PLC in 2021. Together, the two exits returned 750X on invested capital. He currently serves on the boards of Tile Shop (TTSH) and Citi Trends (CTRN), and as a Partner at Dynamism Capital.
Ben has both lived the mission of executive protection overseas, and has been an investor and advisor to private security companies in the US.
